Brain Cance Australia brought together our three leading brain cancer experts to unveil the key projects driving our national effort to transform brain cancer research and patient care.
Generously hosted by Commonwealth Bank, the briefing was led by our Founder Robyn Leonard and featured expert insights from the people on the frontline of this devastating disease: Professors Lindy Jeffree, Michael Besser AM, and John Simes AO.
The intimate boardroom briefing gave guests a rare insight into the current and future state of brain cancer research. And it highlighted the importance of getting the basics right to drive more brain cancer breakthroughs – faster. As Prof Jeffree pointed out, “excellence is boring, but in a good way.”
Fully executing and sustaining the three world-class infrastructure projects – the Australian Brain Cancer Registry, the Opt Me In Platform and the Biobanking and Organoid Platform - will give the entire brain cancer research and healthcare community access to the data and resources they need to deliver consistent, high-quality care and innovative, collaborative research.
